Israel started out cooking for his family at the age of 13 back home in Mexico and has been cooking ever since. He began working in the U.S. in and around the Los Gatos area at the age of 18 and has been cooking professionally for almost 20 years. During this time, he remained determined to learn as much as possible and was able to work his way up to chef, a position that he held for 8 years before co-founding Table and Terrace. Through his career, Israel has developed a special talent for making food not only delicious, but beautiful as well and has brought this talent to Table and Terrace.

Tonya first began working in the food industry as a waitress while attending college in Southern California and fell in love with the industry. She spent years working in the front of the house, but her real passion was for cooking and entertaining and she often found herself more drawn to the back of the house. After staying home for several years to raise a family, Tonya returned to the workforce, but this time following her dream of working solely in the back of the house as a cook in the hopes of one day opening her own catering company. She began working in a winery and wine bar to learn more about wine pairing before moving on to work as a cook in downtown Campbell, where she met Israel. After spending about 2 years working with Israel, she decided to finally pursue her dream and Table and Terrace was born.
